Innovative Solution for Practicallity and Impact in Refugee and Migration Oriented Education


OBJECTIVES

→ Improving the quality and relevance of legal education in the field of Refugee and Migration Oriented Education at five  European Faculties of Law

→ Introduction of innovative learning methods in legal education such as virtual mobility, strategic use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), use of open educational resources, open and flexible learning and transnational collaborative learning

→ Strengthening of the quality of specialized education through international mobility and cross-border cooperation


RESULTS

→ Development of joint and multidisciplinary E-Module on Refugee and Migration Oriented Education (with 3 sub-modules)
→ Preparation and delivery of two intensive programmes in Lithuania (March 2018) and Croatia (March 2019) to test E-learning tool
→ Official recognition of E-learning platform for Module on Refugee and Migration Oriented Education into the formal curriculum of all five Law Schools (ECTS points)
→ Joint student research papers in the area of Refugee and Migration Oriented Education published electronically (through e-learning platform)
→ Joint lecturers’ research papers in the area of Refugee and Migration Oriented Education published in a project book (E-publication)


IMPACTS

Project INSPIRED would have a significant impact on the:

 → Creation of synergies and cross-fertilization of traditional legal education
 → Specialization of future law specialists in the emerging areas of EU law such as fundamental rights of migrants and asylum seekers, state protection of victims of trafficking, and security and justice aspects of refugee and migration law
 → Improvement in   competitiveness and employability of future law specialists
 → Capacity building of students and teachers in the identification of joint academic research projects and joint   transnational publishing
